Privacy Policy
ShapeClip is built to be privacy-first. Here is exactly what that means.

The short version: Whether you're using the ShapeClip web app at shapeclip.com or the ShapeClip Chrome extension, your photos are processed entirely inside your own browser. We do not upload, store, or transmit the images you mask. The only personal data we handle is the email address used to activate a Pro license, and that's kept solely to verify your subscription status.
1. Who we are
ShapeClip is a product of Imercor Products LLC ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at imercorproducts@gmail.com.
2. What ShapeClip does
ShapeClip lets you take a photo (from your camera, your phone, or your computer), cookie-cut it into a shape or word mask, style it, and save or copy the result as a PNG. ShapeClip is offered as two products that share the same engine:
- ShapeClip web app — a website at shapeclip.com that runs in your browser on phone or desktop. No install, no account.
- ShapeClip Chrome extension — a browser extension that adds the same masking tools plus the ability to capture a screenshot of the current webpage and mask it directly.
For both products, every step — choosing or capturing a photo, clipping, styling, and saving — happens locally in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded to our servers, and nothing about the page you're on or the image you produce is transmitted to us.
3. Data we do not collect
To be explicit, ShapeClip does not collect or transmit any of the following:
- Photos, screenshots, or any image data you select, capture, mask, or export
- Page URLs, page titles, HTML, or any content from the websites you visit (extension only)
- Browsing history or tab activity
- Keystrokes, mouse movements, or interaction telemetry
- Location data
- Data from other extensions or third-party accounts
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers.
Note on website analytics: the public website at shapeclip.com uses Google Analytics 4 to count anonymous page visits and aggregate engagement events (e.g. "a photo was uploaded", "a picture was saved"). These events do NOT include the photos themselves, your identity, or anything that could be used to identify you — only counts and timings of generic actions. The Chrome extension itself contains no analytics beacons or third-party trackers.
4. Data we do collect (only if you buy Pro)
ShapeClip has a free tier and a one-time-purchase Pro tier. If you purchase Pro, the following limited data is involved:

That's the entire list. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or any other profile information. If you use the free tier, we collect nothing at all — no account creation is required.
5. How the extension uses Chrome permissions
Chrome requires us to request specific permissions in order to function. Each permission is used for the narrow purpose described below.

6. Incognito mode
If you use ShapeClip in a Chrome Incognito window, everything is handled in memory only. Captures and preferences are not written to local storage, and no data persists after you close the tab. You'll see an in-editor banner reminding you of this.
7. Third-party services we use
- Stripe — handles the payment for Pro purchases. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never visible to us. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Supabase — hosts the database that stores Pro-license email records. Supabase acts as our data processor. See Supabase's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts the small API that checks whether an email has an active Pro license. See Vercel's privacy policy.
8. Data retention
We keep Pro-license records (your email and purchase timestamp) for as long as your Pro license is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your record within 30 days, which will also deactivate any associated Pro license.
9. Your rights
You may request at any time to:
- See what information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete your Pro-license record
- Export your record in a portable format
To make any of these requests, email imercorproducts@gmail.com from the address associated with your Pro license. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. ShapeClip does not sell personal information and has never done so.
10. Children
ShapeClip is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Security
Pro-license records are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Supabase with industry-standard access controls. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Because no screenshots or page content ever leave your browser, there is no image data on our servers that could be breached.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in any material way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, flag the change in the extension's release notes. The current version is always available at shapeclip.com/privacy.html.
